Don't forget about relativity. A quiet type in the US may not be a quiet
   type in other countries.

I share the bus each morning and afternoon with students from all over the
world (seems to be more international students than national) and it is
interesting watching the interactions between people of different cultures.
Seeing the look on the faces of the mouse-quiet Malaysian girls in
headscarves is comical when at the next stop a bunch of American students
hop on with booming voices trying to talk over each other.

It isn't just language either, for example Australians have one of the
biggest personal spaces in the world, and when they travel to Asia they tend
to become very uncomfortable about everyone "invading their personal space".
It is quite humourous to see a Aussie being "chased" around by a Javanese
person for example (Javanese person steps close, Aussie steps back, repeat).

Seeing the look on a Japanese person's face when a loud Chinese is around
(or especially if they hawk up a loogy and spit it out) is pure gold as
   well.
