   he is still an illustrationist and game character designer, but telling   
   a picture story?  (the definition of a mangaka.) not in a long while,   
      
   people don't realize that even his latest, GITS MMI, are actually made   
   up mostly old materials that stretch 10+ years, he simply add some   
   additonal chapters, touch up, prelude and epilogue to complete it,   
   which is why it seems so disjointed w/ the second half tempo and   
   artwork don't match up w/ the first half.
