   I'm not surprised by that. Nodame (the manga) I didn't expect to like   
   too much I guess cause I didn't find the cover art too attractive. But   
   in the end, I found it to be uproariously hilarious. Between this and   
   Hikaru no Go, I have come to learn not to judge the quality of a   
   manga/anime by its overall theme before I've had a chance to try it out   
   (who would've thought I'd like a manga about Go?).   
      
   Having read up to volume 4, the kotatsu chapter(s) are my current   
   favorite.
