I got to about the 3rd DVD and I can't find the energy to rent anymore...
   I got tired of:
Character #1: "Aha! I see through your clever scheme and have found a way
   to counter it!"
Characfter #2: "Aha! I knew you would, so I came up with a cleverer scheme
to couter your coutering of my scheme!"
Character #1: "AHA! I knew *you* would! So I came up with an even MORE
cleverer scheme to counter your countering of my scheme to--"
ARGH!! Look, just whip 'em out and let us measure 'em, so we can get on
   with our lives already! Jesus!

Catherine Johnson, who points out that there's a live-action Japanese
movie, _Uzuamki_ (_Spiral_), which has no relation to this series.
