   I'm not totally convinced that this is the problem. This use of the phrase   
   "manga style" is merely misleading as there is more than one specific   
   style used in the Japanese product, not to mention that some manga apes   
   styles seen in some older product from outside Japan anyway. At best,   
   "manga style" is a marketing phrase, easier to say than something like   
   "style that is similar to what some folk do in Japan which appears to be   
   in favour with the great unwashed, especially after years of exposure to   
   indigenous styles which have become ever increasingly repulsive". Of   
   course, that does oversimplify some folk's reasons for ditching the Merkan   
   product, but I have sleep to catch up on!
