   In the manga _OL Shinkaron_, matsutake mushrooms are sometimes given as   
   gifts from one corporate president to another in the new year. The value of   
   these mushrooms shows how highly prized the relationship is.   
      
   Between two presidents who are old friends, there is a prank played one   
   year when one attempts to substitute similar imported mushrooms of lesser   
   (i.e. non-Japanese) quality, planning to tease the other about it at their   
   class reunion if he didn't notice. However, the super-competent secretary   
   Reiko saves the day by tipping off her employer.
