   You realize, of course, that the fact that she is "showing interest" in   
   manga means that she is probably already checking out the ones that you   
   don't want her to read via her friends... (I remember the interests of   
   my daughter and her little "gang of terrors(friends)" at that age...)   
      
   BTW - if she starts to actually ask about any titles, you might want to ask   
   around here first for some comments before you go and buy them.   
      
   And always remember, what is considered "good reading" for pre-teen girls in   
   Japan can be very, VERY different from what many North American parents   
   would consider "good reading" for the same age group.
