Dude, that'd take years, and would end up being summed up as "99% of
   everything published in Japan".

I never had problems with public libraries, but I had one very, very nasty
experience with the library of a Catholic school I went to for three months
in fourth grade, which further cemented my lifelong hatred of nuns.

I was reading a lot of Judy Blume and the like back then. I'd read most of
Blume's books, and I had made it down the list to "Are You There, God? It's
   Me, Margaret."

The library nun refused to allow me to check out the book, because it was
"for girls, not for boys", and argued me down until I was forced to put the
book back on the shelf and pick something "for boys".

The fact that at the age of 10, I *knew* that was a load of bullshit and was
incensed by it, probably says a lot for the reading level I was on at the
time...pretty well past Judy Blume, in all honesty.

(Ironically, the book I read in its stead was "Ender's Game", which...WHY
the HELL was it in a Catholic school library to begin with?)

(I never DID get around to reading the Margaret book, incidentally.)

(...of course, even with my still immature mentality, I think I've pretty
much outgrown Judy Blume by now...)

(...oh goddammit, now I want to read Superfudge again. X_X)
