Are we looking at different editions of the books, with different content,
or perhaps you might have overlooked something?

When I bought 'Ingathering' and first read it through, I periodically
referred back to the two paperbacks and didn't notice anything missing. And
I just went through and double-checked 'Ingathering' against the two earlier
books and I still don't see anything that was left out.

In 'No Different Flesh', the transitional segments are appended to the ends
of the individual stories, while in 'Ingathering' the transitional segments
are in separate sections between the main stories, with their own titles and
entries in the table of contents.

I didn't go through word by word just now, but, from my spot checking,
everything seems to be present in both versions: there may have been some
minor editing, but I didn't see any sign of significant amounts of material
   omitted.

I also did a quick check of 'Pilgrimage' against 'Ingathering': in both
books, the transitional material is in separate sections, and I don't see
   any signs of significant differences.
