   	Jody comes to Japan to meet Yawara because she is a passionate   
   judoka who thinks from the TV evidence that Yawara is a worthy or   
   strong opponent, which she of course is though it is hard to get her to   
   play at Judo.  That is from my reading of the Anime up to Episode 40   
   as kindly and most excellently translated by Animeigo.   
   	If someone wants to take a look at the manga it is on Manga Fox   
   at least thru the first few chapters, the character designs are fairly   
   well preserved from manga to anime but the translation of the manga   
   is not as good nor is the amateur production crew gifted with good   
   taste.
