   	Read all the stories on that site and you will see that the industrial   
   model   
   of manga publication in Japan as in the USA is essentially starving the   
   artists.   
   I might have said short-changing but it seems inadequate to the described   
   situation.  I have been buying manga on the assumption that some part of   
   the   
   license fees would get back to the authors.  I was mistaken in that   
   assumption.
