   This is a resend of my  original post which went thru PAN a   
   cheap version of Thunderbird dealing only with news but not   
   doing lots of stuff in a handy way.

   	Well last month I tried to watch the first DVD box set of   
   Hare´ + Guu but even with an extension for another 3 weeks from the SFPL    
   I could get no further than the 3rd disk.   Then I gave up.   I was    
   amused by it and understand why it was so popular but not my cup of tea    
   or decaf.   
   	So then I put on the KOR OVAs and watched the two episodes   
   I had not seen before the box set mentioned above.  But I knew what I   
   wanted and got Yawara out and am still working on finishing the first   
   disk.   
      
   	I have been reading a lot of manga though stuff that   
   most likely will never be brought to market, translated, in the USA.   
              Prunus Girl, TV in a boys dorm and his   
   budding relationship with a nice guy.  Has funny moments.   
      
             Genshiken, as published in magazine(Afternoon)   
     in Japan. This season a TV is added Hato. Who does with a lot of   
   work what Kousaka does without much.  The club now has a lot more young   
   women but Madarame works in the vicinity and drops in frequently.  The   
   sempai show up as well from time to time but Znqnenzr vf n gbgny obggbz   
   nppbeqvat gb gur bcvavba bs arneyl nyy. Naq Znqnenzr yrgf Ungb hfr uvf   
   ncnegzrag nf n qerffvat ebbz.   
      
             Family Compo - Strange family with mangaka dad   
   who is actually a born female father to a child who is secretive about   
   actual gender.  Mother is a male TV/TG playing full time.  Lots of Humor   
   from the encounter of a male college student relative (taken in when   
   parent is killed) with this redoubtable family. Mix in love- maddened   
   yakuza and a exploitative school club as well as homophobic grand dad.   
              I liked this so much that I am buying the   
   books in the Japanese language at Kinokuniya and no I don´t read Japanese.   
      
                Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai" (Haganai)   
   	This could make in stateside release without   
   much work.  A group of social misfits join together to explore the   
   mechanics of becoming friends.  Very amusing,   
      
                 Toritsu Mizushou! - School of Water Business   
   Training in the entertainment field of endeavor.  Hilarious with an arc   
   featuring a TG/TS who is a judoka of skill reminding one, deliberately I   
   am sure, of Yawara!   
       But mostly it features the personal and family   
   problems of teachers and students.   
      
            Angel Densetsu  - very good stuff. The hero   
   is a good guy who will not fight except to protect the weak or girls. He   
   has only one finishing move   
     but is very good at it.   
      
            zettai_karen_children esp powered children in government   
   service with the usual stuff but good.   
      
   	G Senjou Heavens Door - high school and manga team of writer   
   and artist.  Striving to be worthy of each others efforts fueled by need   
   to pay for medical expenses for mother.  Artist asks writer and writer,   
   after violent girl persecution, decides to do his best! Some readers say   
   better than Bakuman.   
      
            boku_ni_natta_watashi sister forced to attend brothers school   
   after he elopes.  Fairly amusing but stock situations and impossibly pure   
   boys and girls.   
      
   	GENIUS HOUSE Manga is about a young woman student assigned   
   to be the manager of the Genius dorm.   How dumb can geniuses be and how   
   stupidly can they behave?  Pretty badly in the artist´s imagination.  Just   
   started it.   
      
   	Decided to post to rec.arts.manga as well   
   after all this stuff.
