Why'd they bother       > shrink-wrapping used books?               The shrink-wrapped bit was a carryover from topic       drift. I am surprised anyone is looking at such old posts       but glad to see another manga fan. The used book stores that       i would expect to find would be out around 9th and Judah or       adjacent streets. Since I hit 73 I donīt get around so much       any more. Used to be stuff out on Clement as well. Have       seen several of the large used book stores in the downtown       close. I have seen as many new book stores close.       And that was in concert with increased digitalization and       networking. I miss Borders but I could not spend enough       to keep it open in the highest rent retail part of town       i.e. Union Square. I bought my first volumes of Maisson       Ikkoku there.               bliss              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
