No to make the story of a judoka practically against her
will more accessible to the young people of the very different
present and the future. Besides the quality of the show has
deteriorated physically apparently since it was originally
   produced.
AE tried to deal with this but I doubt the fan-subbers
had the skill set or the equipment to correct the various
problems I notes, some of which might be due to the low
quality of the format. I like to blame the format for the
seconds long disconnection between picture and sound. I
doubt it is only happening on my machine.
Of course the story does not have to have the
same characters. How about a older Yawara playing
Jigoro“s role in the story and a male grandchild
being the reluctant Judoka while he would rather be
   an otaku? or government bureaucrat?
   	Thanks for your comments.
