   IMHO re-making Yawara for a modern audience would be lame.  IIRC It was   
   popular when it first appeared in Japan because of events in real-world   
   Judo at that time.   
   But given the amount of re-cycling of ideas and trend-following that   
   happens in anime production, a production team might well decide to make   
   a new sports anime featuring judo with new characters, new setting, new   
   character names etc and if they do, good luck to 'em.
