XPost: rec.arts.anime.misc       From: bliss-sf4ever@dslextreme.com               Is now published in the USA by Seven Seas.        Art is by Itachi and the story from a light novel       by Yomi Hirasaka. $12.99 at Kinokuniya's manga shop in       San Francisco's Nihon Machi.               I had read most of this online and got the manga       to see what they did with it. It is pretty good.        The subtitle sums up the story, some rather       unappealing girls and by the end a couple of boys form       the Neighbors Club to try to help them learn how to make       friends.        One is so lonely that in High School she is still       talking to an imaginary (air) friend. The first boy is       half foreigner and has blond hair which leads to the       common assumption of bleaching to appear tough. 2nd       Girl is overly talented and occupies a very privileged       position. Next boy is small and effeminate and is       ostracised by the males of his own class.               The girls share really bad attitudes but there       their agreement ends. The 2nd boy thinks the 1st is       a tough guy and wants to learn to be like him,               So lot'sa opportunities for laughs are at       hand. Maybe if you haven't got many friends or       were in that situation at some point in your       younger life you might try to get a laugh about       it.               bliss                             --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
