   Go Nagai and Ken Ishikawa (Dynamic Pro) do/did this frequently in a   
   variety of ways. "Cutie Honey" and "Devilman" have been done and redone in   
   various media formats over the years. All of their super robots get mixed   
   up every now and then with revisits and remixes like "Mazinkaizer" and   
   "Mazinger Angels". Masami Yuuki's "Birdy the Mighty" is a full-on remake.   
   Yukito Kishiro went back to "Gunnm" (Battle Angel), threw out the original   
   ending, and has run with "Last Order" for almost twice as long as the   
   original.
