So it is as alive as myself and few other posters can make it.

My most recent post aside from this commercial promotion was
   about KAKUKAKU SHIKAJIKA Manga
   かくかくしかじか
   Released: Author & Artist: Genre(s):
2011 Higashimura Akiko Josei, School Life

This is an autobiography of the author, whose real name is Akiko
Hayashi, which begins while she's in her third year of high school.
I clipped the rest of the post so you can go there if the matter seems
of interest but one of my friends is finding it quite enjoyable though
he prefers Samurai stories set in Edo period or even in early Meiji.
9 chapters of Samurai of the Meji Restoration he quite enjoyed as
it tells the tale of the end of Samurai power with the defeat and
suicide of Saigo. He is also enjoying both Sabu's Arrest Warrant
and Osamu Tezuka's story about his ancestor and his friend the
Samurai HIDAMARI NO KI Manga which happens most so far as the
bakafu begins its disintegration. I think I covered both of these
   on ram.
I spend a lot of time looking at manga online some is terrible
stuff of the sort I call simple-minded wish-fulfillment fantasy. The
manga mentioned above and another Waratte!SOTOMURA-SAN is abot a girl
who looks like a deliquent though her heart is gentle and she only has
an unfortunate smile, Very pure 4 coma humor. But it has short arcs
   as well.

Thanks for your opinion, Dave. I am always happy to hear from
someone who has covered so much of the anime scene as long as I have
   been subscribed to the newsgroups.
