   The second shounen-ai manga ever published, The November Gymnasium   
   focuses on chaste, yearning love between boys at a prestigious German   
   boys' school.   
      
   	Well first of all this is a 49 page one shot.  Found it on   
   Manga Fox yesterday and copied the information above from their list.   
   So this morning I went hunting as I am interested in early genre   
   examples.  This ends unhappily.  Unless you read very slowly this   
   is a 20 minute episode.

   	Eric is a bitter but strong-willed child who is being sent to   
   Boarding School because his family does not know how to deal with him.   
   	At the school is Thomas, the much beloved and beautiful boy   
   who looks just like Eric.   
   	Eric is not happy having a double   
   .   
   	Both are the children of the child who died at 15 after an affair with   
   their mother.  They have been raised separately as the   
   child of Eric's family and the late child of Thomas' family.   
   	   
   	49 pages of drama and all the guilty are made to suffer it   
   seems which is a reflection of the morality of the time.  Note   
   that Thomas dies of pneumonia as the tale is set not postwar WW II   
   but in the time between WW I and WW II so that no antibiotics are   
   available to save Thomas.
