XPost: rec.arts.anime.misc       From: bliss-sf4ever@dslextreme.com              HYOUGE MONO Manga       Hyouge Mono (Japanese: へうげもの Hepburn: Hy       ge Mono?, lit. "Jocular       Fellow") is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Yoshihiro       Yamada. It won an Excellence prize for manga at the 13th Japan Media       Arts Festival[2] and the Grand Prize at the 2010 Tezuka Osamu Cultural       Prize. It was adapted into an anime series in 2011. The official website       was updated to reflect the change.[3] For unstated reasons Yoshihiro       Yamada and the editors of Morning quit consulting for the anime series       and Yamada had the credit changed from "original story" to "original       concept".[4]              bliss notes:        Only 6 chapters of the manga have been translated and posted       online. It concerns a samurai of Oda Nobunaga who is is love with       beautiful artifacts. Very like an otaku. He moves around learning       tea ceremony and hoping to view some beautiful tea utensils, sometimes       he manages to do this and sometimes he is disappointed. But he hangs       around with the Hideyoshi to be, Hashiba, Akechi Mitsuhide and other       notables including his eccentric lord, Oda Nobunaga.        I read the 5th and 6th chapters tonight and was reminded of       the excellence of this manga so posted here when my search could find       no reference in rec.arts.manga.        i think I can guess at the motivation for the author's       change in the credits.               bliss              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
