   BLOOD LAD Manga
   ブラッドラッド; 我

   想做吸血鬼; Buraddo Raddo; Кровавый Парень
   Released: 	Author(s): 	Artist(s): 	Genre(s):
2009 Kodama Yuuki Kodama Yuuki Action, Comedy, Ecchi, Fantasy,
   Romance, Seinen, Supernatural

Staz is the vampire boss of a section of the demon world, but he has
little interest in human blood. He's more infatuated with Japanese
culture. When he learns that Yanagi Fuyumi, a Japanese teenage girl,
accidentally wanders into the demon city, he jumps to the occasion.
However, while Staz deals with an intruder on his turf, the oblivious
Fuyumi is killed by a monster and becomes a wandering ghost. The
disappointed Staz vows to her that he will find a way to bring Fuyumi
   back to life.

   		==================================
I have only read the first chapter or two of this so far.
It seems to be of acceptable quality.

Staz lives in Hell and is a boss of his area.
He has never encountered a living human before.
Now this discards the part of the Vampire story
that would have started him out as a living human, He
looks like a human but is a demon.

I read a lot of vampire stories myself and
some tell of vampires that do not conform to the
mythos. Some more awful than the mythos and others
where Vampires are practically benign. One
suchv are Lynsay Sands Vampire stories where
the Immortals are technological marvels from
Atlantis who survive because of nano-machines
in their blood streams which machines run
on the blood as autos on gasoline.
In ancient times after the fall of
Atlantis the Immortals resorted to obtaining
extra blood for the nano-machines any way
   they could.
Today they use blood banks of which
they own enough to avoid attacking humans unless
they go mad. The big event of each story is
an omnicompetent vampire finding a mate and
marrying her and converting her to an Immortal
as well. Roughly these fall into the category
of "bodice rippers" or tales for women and
   ladies who need some fantasy.

I like the stories Sands writes
more than Anne Rice's tales of the
   Vampire Lestat.

Well if you like Vampires try out
   Blood Lad manga.
