From: bliss-sf4ever@dslextreme.com              Moto Hagio's A Drunken Dream and Other Stories.              10 stories published by Fantagraphics, at 24.99 USD       250 pages approximately,       Found at the San Francisco Public Library Main,       Includes an article "the Magnificent Forty-Niners" and       an interview with the mangaka, Moto Hagio including       biographical information, both by Matt Thorn.              The appellation "Magnificent Forty-Niners" applies       to the female mangaka who created a revolution in       about 1970 in shojo manga. Most of those were not       actually born in 1949 but Moto Hagio was and her       work is magnificent.        This is not simple-minded manga for children       but a variety of themes dealing with human       conditions and problems.        It is worth the price if your local library is not       sufficiently enlightened to carry manga.               bliss              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
