Well after the + Tic Neesan I needed something more
solid to look at and started my first re-reading of this series
and the first volume holds up remarkably well.

Adachi is somewhat repetitive in his plot devices
but he writes a solid story around the themes of deep loss,
admirable striving and resistance to oppressive authority.
