   The book would bring us to the vivid world of Heian Imperial Court   
   that was lost very long time ago.   
      
   In Japan's high school, students read only first several pages of   
   "Genji Monogatari". I've never read the book further. Murasaki Shikibu   
   wrote the book 1,000 years ago. It's difficult to read. First, there   
   are big differencies in language and culture of contemporay Japan and   
   of Genji's world. Second, it's very long and complex. Likes of   
   Dostoyevsky's "The Brothers Karamazov". Although there are many   
   translations in comtemporary Japanese, I'd prefer to original if I can.
