XPost: rec.arts.anime.misc       From: bliss@mouse-potato.com              Hi Readers and Typers,                This used to be a regular item here in which people proposed books that       would make good anime,               My 1st entry is "the Invisible Library" by Genevieve Cogman!       It was quite relaxing, as the heroine and her mysterious companion       search for a purloined book in an alternate universe filled with humans,       elves, werewolves, dragons and the only vampire in view gets murdered       before the story gets very far.        Upbeat take on dealing with the unique literature of all the       alternate universes. A villain with extraordinary powers and a nasty       habit of shape-shifting. A Great Detective of noble blood and Sherlock       Holmes's powers of observation and deduction.              Ms. Cogman is seems to be producing sequels out on a yearly basis.       And her heroine a Journeyman Librarian, is neither as young as she       looks nor as sexless as a true Victorian heroine should be.               bliss              --       bliss dash SF 4 ever at dslextreme dot com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
