From: mikkelhaaheim@gmail.com              At the speeds involved, and with the bus, both of these ARE possible. The bus       allows for trajectory deflection at the point of release. Survival time       depends upon a predetermined amount of ablative shielding, which will be       precisely calculated... much of        this can be plasma coating that allows for mission/target customisation. It       actually takes time for boiling and vaporisation, as well as for hot vapour to       dissipate. Melted ammo does as much kinetic damage as solid ammo, although       shape penetration is        naturally reduced. Even hot gases make effective drills. At these speeds, even       if the entire shell vapourises, the vapour stream will remain intact long       enough to burn a substantial hole through targets.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
