   A thanks to both of you for the great information! I'll be honest, I was   
   hoping for a bigger final velocity, but it would have been better if you had   
   shown me what sort of equations or online calculators I could use, to help me   
   figure out what dimensions    
   my space ship would need to have in order to get close to what I'm trying to   
   do. I guess that's my fault for not asking.   
   As for the rotational momentum thing, I found a solution. I realized that I   
   had given her a tiny RCS reserve in her suit, and not given it a second   
   thought about how that affects what comes before. That was a plot hole before,   
   but you guys helped me find    
   it! ^_^   
   It's back to the drawing board for me.
