From: adam.w.krajewski@gmail.com              Heyy, I have school now, o I have got not a lot of time for writing and       drawing, but today I came with interesting idea:        The rigid part looks not like "Y", but more like arrow, or to be more specific       - crossbow. One main truss, with attachment point for spacecraft etc., coilgun       and cable going "down" to the habitat, and two arms with engines on ends, and       from the motors        go cables to the main truss. When the ship is on thrust "arms" stretch out and       are held from going further by truss cables. I don't know if this gives a       significant advantage over previous one, but I think it could make spaceship a       little bit lighter.        And I'm sure it looks very cool, which is also important ;)        Anyway, give me your thoughts on that, in a few days I might finally make       account somewhere and post exactly what I mean...              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
