   Have you tried to estimate the mass of a large asteroid?   
   volume=4/3.pi.r.r.r, for 100 meter ~ 4 milion cube meter   
   at 1 to 5 ton per cube meter, so 4 to 20 million   tons.   
   No chemical rocket will be powerful enough to change   
   the trajectory the way you wish.   
   And if you use a nuclear drive, you might just a well   
   use a nuke.
