|    string in a black hole    |

From: sungjunnoh0802@gmail.com              An interesting thought experiment...              What if, you got a giant stick stretching for many light-years. On one end is       a starship, which can break free. On the other end, is a counterweight just       outside of a black hole. the ship fires its engines to move forward a bit, to       put the counterweight        into the black hole. would the whole thing become spagettified or would the       starship be safe? would it be able to move out of a collision course by       detaching the rope?               Just an interesting thought experiment for you guys to think about.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
