From: adam.w.krajewski@gmail.com              The underbarrel shotgun on M41 Pulse Rifle is an grenade launcher in movie.       According to data I found on size of this thing, it's quite similar to M4,       without grenade launcher it would not much diferrent in size IMO. M56 looks       like a Squad Automatic        Weapon designed specially for fighting in buildings, with interesting features       like auto aiming and designed to be fired from hip. Also, weapons in Aliens       seem to be a bit overweight, I believe they could be lighter irl.        But coming back to my marines, that's right, there couldn't be a one all       around assault rifle to do everything, so maybe let's divide it to make 3       weapon classes:       -Battle rifle, for long range engagements on planetary surface.        -Assault rifle, for more urban, close range warfare, maybe with underbarrel       shotgun/grenade launcher (something similar to Pulse Rifle).       -PDW/SMG like thing, firing lower power catridge, targeted for on-spaceship       warfare in clumsy habitat modules, and im vacuum warfare.        What do you think?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
