   What about the Arda subcontinent becoming stagnant with magic while the other   
   continents manage to start their tech-based space program? I imagine chemical   
   rockets launches would be pretty easy to hide if the other side has no spy   
   satellites.. then the    
   Alliance gets the superiority for a while and goes interplanetary colonization   
   with Alliance vs Arda wars on them.
