From: adam.w.krajewski@gmail.com              I think that here comes the role for smugglers and free traders who have acces       to interstellar vehicles. They sell high-tech to peasants and they are the       connector between all 3rd level colonies.       A bit of offtop here, I think it's a good idea to call Arda and other central       system planets Ardian Triangle, or 1st class worlds, Loyalist worlds are 2nd       class, and low level colonies are 3rd level. Just a bit of terminology.        On the learning peasants how to do things, maybe expand that to something like       "the best of youth from colonies are frozen and sent to Triangle to get       education so they can steer the other, uneducated ones when they get back       home. They go to Triangle at        the age of 15-16 and you have theme for teen-romance-scifi novel or movie.       Also, they are the first ones to try and make a revolt in intelligent way, the       first ones to try and contact other colonies etc. They train their youths how       to spy on Triangle,        what kind of knowledge they need to get. After a few generations, they are       ready to fight.        On Governors, here might be a place for next type of revolt, the Governor       wanting the planet foe his own and without any influence from Arda.       I am still not sure if I want STL comms or FTL comms, that's one of the things       I am not sure if to handwave or not, the other thing is artificial gravity on       spaceships, which will be important when I will design the vehicles look.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
