   What is modempunk? I can't find much about it on the web.   
   The naval guns were designed in the era before the space travels. On the   
   recoil, the guns could be also smaller caliber automatic guns, like ones   
   mounted on this old Russian space station (Almaz? I think that was the name).   
   And what exactly do you mean    
   by gravel guns?    
   I am thinking about drives, the early fusion is good, but it generally has a   
   low thrust, and I think about this pulsed fission engine, it has good thrust,   
   nice eV, it somehow fascinates me :p Maybe that's because it's quite close to   
   atomic pile torchship,   
    a concept from Stanislav Lem books that I really like...
