   Or, I got another solution. Because my starship already is powered by lasers   
   back at Sol, what if I ditch the pusher plate or the engine and just use   
   antimatter-explosion-pumped-lasers?   
      
   The photon drive has an efficiency of 300 watts/newton. Exploding 1 gram of   
   matter and antimatter(and assuming this process takes 1 second because I don't   
   know how else to do it) will get me   
      
   e = 2g*c^2 = 720000000000000 joules = 720 million megawatts = 24 kilonewtons   
      
   Of course, it only 2 grams of matter/antimatter mix plus the lasing rod and   
   the structure....   
      
   This probably isn't going to work because of the mass needed to get the   
   containment system and the lasing rod to explode...
