From: sungjunnoh0802@gmail.com              I wanted to somehow ISRU the antimatter at Alpha Centuari by solar collectors,       so the antimatter lasers probably aren't gonna work because of the more       complex manufacturing required.               Also, can someone tell me if this is correct? I am trying to calculate       antimatter powered nuclear pulse and trying to convert joules to newtons.       Probably better to search it on Wikipedia              Because e = mc^2(yes, I know its not 100% efficient), mass = e/c^2. I think I       used 1 kiloton of tnt for e(4200000000000 joules). Substituting e/c^2 for m on       f=ma, we have f = (e/c^2)a, putting in 9.8m/s^2 for a because for some reason,       physicists use        earth's gravitic acceleration whenever they see an acceleration variable they       don't know what to do with. That's why Isp is measured in seconds. So, I have       0.00046 newtons.              :)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
