Back in 2014(?), the US Army put monitors on soldiers       serving in Afghanistan to study the effects of explosives on their hearing,       but found out the recoil-       less guns also harms the soldiers. I imagine the effects of it would be even       worse for a rocket launcher that can go into orbit.              The delta-V requirements would probably be lower then 8125m/s because the       projectile does not need to go into orbit, just get up to the altitude of the       target. This is even better since then the projectile would have a higher       relative velocity. This        would loosen the constraints and the hearing loss somewhat...              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
