   Hm, it seems electronic warfare is not that viable in blocking communication,   
   then. But how about jamming targeting systems? Could it be done by lasers? The   
   targeting systems would be intended to aim the coilgun turrets on the enemy in   
   that setting.    
   And what about missile jamming? And how would a missile be guided in space? By   
   infrared emission from enemy ship (probably could be countered by somekind of   
   spaceborne flares, mimicing infrared signature maybe?) or guided by systems on   
   the ship that    
   launched it?
