Smith's _Venus       Equilateral_ in which a space station's "air plant" comprised many trays of       "Martian sawgrass", an especially hardy plant bred to produce oxygen, also       capable of handling cigar smoke and        solder fumes as well as human exhalations.               Unlike the algae used in some SF as combination air regenerator/food source,       Smith's sawgrass was not intended to be eaten.                      Mark L.
