      Obviously it's infeasible to armour against a nuke with reasonable weight       allowances, but what if we go heavy sci-fi and imagine ships that are several       kilometers in length?              Against something like a hiroshima level 15 kt nuke, would the ship be       reasonably protected from penetration of its hull if it had a skin of, say, 5       meters of solid tungsten?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
