   Not having a predictable course is certainly a plus in any combat   
   situation. Even if you are moving at several km/s, imparting an   
   additional 20 m/s 100 s prior to potential impact will mean that   
   anything which relies on contact with the target will miss by 2 km   
   (give or take the cosine of a certain angle).  That counts   
   as "dodging".

   I don't care about the shape of the ammuntion.   
      
   I care about its mechanical strength, so that it can withstand   
   the acceleration to be brought into contact with the enemy.
