   Regarding Chloroform, GESTIS has a few things to say (my   
   translation):   
      
   "It has to be considered that the kinetics of resorbtion strongly   
   depends on the concentration of exposition and the (individually   
   varying) capacity of metabolization."   
      
   and   
      
   "[...] a deep general anaesthesia requires approx 1.4 volume percent.   
   Higher concentrations fast becmoe deadly, asphyxiatic state starts   
   at approximately 1.6 volume-percent".   
      
   That is a _really_ tight margin.
