From: tenentelui@gmail.com              Hi, folks. Just found the group from rho and i'm astounded. You're awesome.              I've been worldbuilding for a while and I figured (since i want to be as       accurate as possible) that I want precision on everything.              I've since started a Great Spreadsheet to automatically calculate everything       you may need to know about space warfare to worldbuild.              Things I want it to have are:              - Sensor capabilities (detection threshold) and ranges (detection,       identification and targeting), including optical telescopes, near-IR scopes,       far-IR scopes, anomaly detectors (such as a MAD), x-ray scopes, gamma ray       non-focused scopes, active and        passive RADAR and LIDAR, etc.              - Projectile weapon systems with precise muzzle velocity and kinetic energy,       and energy cost in case of railguns              - Energy weapon systems with precise energy measurements.              - Ship propulsion types with precise specific impulse, energy output, IR       emission, etc.              - Other things, many other things.              Anyone ever done that? It sounds like a very useful thing.              Lui Wolff              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
