   I always found that part dodgy. If you have a personal energy   
   shield that keeps fast objects from going in, why wouldn't everybody   
   use that, plus medieval knight-type armor? If you make that out   
   of any sort of advanced material, you'd be pretty much invulnerable   
   on a battlefield.
