   **Verdict:** *Captain’s Holiday* is a delightful   
   departure from TNG’s typical fare: a genially   
   adventurous, light-hearted romp with a great   
   guest character in Vash, some fun chemistry,   
   and just enough mystery to keep it engaging.   
   It’s far from deeply philosophical Trek,   
   but it’s enjoyable in a way few other   
   episodes — especially as a relaxed interlude   
   for Picard. A charming pick-me-up
