   That is possible. It certainly would explain the poor PR.   
      
   It is the BBC that own "Doctor Who" though, so you'd think they   
   would have had some sort of a Plan B for one of their own   
   television shows. They surely didn't expect the Disney   
   partnership to go on forever! So I can't see that saying a new   
   season of "Doctor Who" will air in the summer of 2027 (or   
   whenever) would be considered a crime.
