XPost: rec.arts.tv, alt.cult-movies.alien, rec.arts.movies.past-films       From: weberm@polaris.net              Alien: Earth could easily have been Disney creating a long term annual Alien       property that would attract people to Disney+. It was set up perfectly for a       monster of the week style TV show from the 90's that could have made 22       episode a year TV return to glory. Instead we got some of the most stupid       people alive, making obvious mistakes that breach any kind of safety       protocol, no characterisation and magic being the excuse for all of it. While       the show got more entertaining as the show got worse and people got more       stupid. The motivations of the characters remain hidden until you listen to       the showrunners logic. A weird overthrow of the corporations by the children       who grew up under their boot. Hollywood loves putting the message into it's       shows, but as of yet hasn't realised it ruins any potential entertainment,       and this is no exception. Is it because of the message, or because people who       believe it never have any talent?              https://youtu.be/hqqPgvsvKGw?si=OP28Z9hPX7PuZXGo              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
