Uh, what? Cultural conditioning cannot be denied. In a world in which we
are supposed to accept transgender as fluid and based on self
identification and feelings, that contradicts the very idea that
   sexuality is hard wired.

So, yeah, in the case of grooming, a child could very much be influenced
to have a homosexual sexual encounter with an adult that he wouldn't
have had without the power imbalance. Whether that turns him homosexual
for the rest of his life seems unlikely. But who knows.

This isn't actual science. A friend pointed out the other day that
psychological researchers write papers slamming their colleagues or
prominent researchers from just a decade earlier. It's a profession
   filled with charlatans.

The way I feel is that adults get to have sex with whomever they like as
long as it doesn't cause harm and they shouldn't care about obtaining my
approval. Under pretty much all circumstances, an adult with authority
over a child should not have sex with that child, although there are
certainly examples of an older adult teaching an older teenager about
sex without harm in which the sex doesn't come from a power imbalance.
