8a0886f3       From: super70s@super70s.invalid              It's November 1983 and interest is high in the assassination of Pres.       John F. Kennedy which happened exactly 20 years earlier. After a       Pittsburgh couple loses their 8-year-old son in a hunting accident in       which the probably intoxicated shooter is judged not liable, the father       begins reeling into alcoholism and depression, loses his job, and       becomes interested in a local JFK assassination conspiracy group,       convinced a conspiracy was also behind no one being held responsible for       his son's death. He becomes one of the best assassination researchers of       them all, focusing in particular on the mysterious "umbrella man"       photographed at the assassination scene. Asked to make a presentation at       a JFK assassination convention in New Orleans, he encounters "Jackie," a       roving prostitute dressed up in a modified suit that resembles Jackie       Kennedy's clothing on that infamous day. As the pair travel to Dealy       Plaza in Dallas so he can confirm his suspicion about the umbrella man,       can Jackie help him come to the realization that a Grand Conspiracy       isn't behind every tragedy and, as her grandmother once put it,       "sometimes things just happen"? No brand name stars in this well paced       and directed indie, just an intelligent movie that's particularly       relevant in 2021 America and a case study in how vulnerable people can       be taken in by conspiracy theorists.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
