   I remember watching it on tv back in the 70s.   
      
   It was a musical comedy made in either the 50s or early 60s. The only scene I   
   really remember was when the main character was singing to his neighbors and   
   their kids. His wife (I think) was painting a picture in their backyard. The   
   man then stuck his    
   face in the painting & turned around with paint on his face, looking exactly   
   like a clown.    
   It was so long ago that I forget the name of the movie or the main &   
   supporting characters. Could anyone please help me identify it. Thanks.
